I tend to get really weird about the more realistic renditions of actual people because they so easily fall into uncanny valley for me. At the same time, less realistic ones tend to strike me as unfaithful to the source, or like a random picture labelled with the name of a guy I like. This strikes a perfect balance between the two: different enough that a photomanip wouldn't have cut it, but same enough that I recognize him, that I can see him there.
