Lady Is A Vamp

Description

You know, I got extremely tired of watching all those "Twilight Saga" screaming fangirls. No offence, but I don't find the idea of sugar-sweet-sparkly-vampire appealing, thank you very much.

:blackrose:
Vampire is supposed to be bloody and carnivorous.
:blackrose:

All the romance in its image is mostly suicidal and decadent. Trust my word, I made several researches in those myths; the first actually APPEALING vampire appears only in "Die Braut von Korinth (The Bride of Korinth)" by Johann Wolfgang von Göthe in 1797. Then it comes out in J.W. Polidori's work, then Byron, then Stoker... the earlier vampires with mythological origin are just sucking your blood. NO ROMANCE, HUNGER ONLY.

I made some sketches on the theme during the working day in my office. You get some myths, mix them with modern times, add some black & red indian ink to taste...

...et voila.
Here she is.
Hope you like these lines.))

P.S.:
Aye, my swirly-thingie-style again.
I feel lack of time for painting these days, but you have my promise: I've got at least two large sketches to finish (first in acrylic, second in watercolour), so the next work won't be so... subtle.))

Though I'm kinda of ""Twilight Saga" screaming fangirl", I like this one VERY much ))
Reminds me of some mixture between Malcawian and Toreador, don't know why )
Or maybe it's just my recent Victorian Era experiences ))
